We are currently recruiting a Finance Lead to join our Sudan team.

This is a field-based position with frequent travel to various locations across Sudan.

The role is a 6-month fixed-term international position, starting March 1, 2026.

About the Opportunity

You will deliver dedicated financial leadership for donor-funded programming across Sudan, ensuring accurate budget management, strict adherence to donor regulations, and strong internal controls. You will produce timely financial reports, burn rate analyses, and forecasts, support audits and donor reviews, working closely with country finance teams and field staff to maintain accurate cost allocation and reliable documentation flow.

Your Responsibilities

This role includes the following responsibilities.

  • Provide dedicated financial management and oversight for donor funded budgets across all implementation states.
  • Ensure strict compliance with donor financial regulations, internal controls, and cost eligibility rules.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports, burn rate analyses, and forecasts to support decision making.
  • Support audits, reviews, and donor financial queries related to donor funding.
  • Coordinate closely with country level finance teams and field level staff to ensure accurate cost allocation and documentation flow.

About You

You will bring the following experience and skills.

  • Professional experience managing donor-funded financial operations.
  • Strong spoken and written English and French are essential.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, internal controls, and cost eligibility requirements.
  • Proven ability to produce accurate financial reports, forecasts, and burn rate analyses under tight timelines.
  • Skilled in audit preparation, documentation management, and responding to donor financial queries.
  • Excellent coordination skills for working with country level finance teams and field staff on cost allocation and documentation flow.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical capability, and commitment to compliance and accountability.
  • Ability to work effectively in fastmoving, multistate humanitarian programming environments.
