We are currently recruiting a MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountibility & Learning) Lead to join our Sudan team.

This is a field-based position with frequent travel to various locations across Sudan.

The role is a 6-month fixed-term international position, starting March 1, 2026.

About the Opportunity

You will lead the design and implementation of a MEAL framework across Health, Nutrition, WASH, and Protection, ensuring rigorous monitoring of outputs, outcomes, and indicators to drive adaptive management. You will oversee high quality data collection, verification, analysis, and use for reporting, managing accountability to affected populations through feedback and complaints systems, and work closely with country level MEAL, Program, Technical teams, and field staff to maintain consistent data quality and foster learning.

Your Responsibilities

This role includes the following responsibilities.

  • Design and implement a MEAL framework across Health, Nutrition, WASH, and Protection.
  • Monitor outputs, outcomes, and indicators against approved logframes to support adaptive management.
  • Ensure high quality data collection, verification, analysis, and use for reporting and decision making.
  • Manage accountability to affected populations (AAP) mechanisms, including feedback and complaints systems.
  • Coordinate with country level MEAL, Program and Technical teams and field level staff to ensure consistent data quality and learning.

About You

You will bring the following experience and skills.

  • Experience designing and implementing MEAL systems for multisector humanitarian programs.
  • Strong spoken and written English and French are essential.
  • Strong understanding of logframe based monitoring, indicator tracking, and data quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to manage high quality data collection, verification, analysis, and use for reporting and adaptive management.
  • Knowledge of accountability to affected populations (AAP) approaches, including feedback and complaints mechanisms.
  • Skilled in coordinating with MEAL, Program, and Technical teams across multiple locations to ensure consistency and learning.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize complex information clearly.
  • Comfortable working in fast paced emergency contexts with tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
