About the Role
Havana Specialist Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead and oversee all financial operations of the hospital. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, while supporting the hospital's growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Administration
Oversee the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, tax returns, etc.)
Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and timely reporting to the Board
Develop and implement robust accounting systems and financial models
Manage hospital payments, investments, and capital-raising initiatives
Review and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
Analyse economic trends and forecast financial growth opportunities
Identify opportunities for business expansion and improved financial performance
Budgeting & Reporting
Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets
Monitor expenditures, revenues, and budget variances
Generate detailed financial reports and analysis for management and stakeholders
Provide strategic recommendations for cost reduction and revenue growth
Ensure timely submission of monthly and periodic financial reports
People Management
Lead and supervise finance, billing, and accounting teams
Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement in workflows
Develop and implement staff training and performance improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (BSc/BBA)
Minimum of 10 years' professional experience, including managerial/supervisory roles
Full membership of a recognized professional accounting body (ICAN, ACA)
Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting, and compliance
Experience in the healthcare sector is an added advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (EMR knowledge is a plus)
