Job Purpose
To lead and manage all financial operations of the automotive business, ensuring accurate financialreporting, regulatory compliance, cost control, and strategic financial planning to support businessgrowth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Control:
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line withIFRS/GAAP.
Oversee the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
Ensure integrity of all financial data and enforce internal controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic re-forecasting.
Monitor budget performance, analyse variances, and provide management with actionableinsights.
Treasury & Cash Management:
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to ensure liquidity.
Oversee Letters of Credit (LCs), forex procurement, and vehicle import financing.
Compliance & Audit;
Ensure full compliance with FIRS tax obligations (VAT, WHT, CIT, Transfer Pricing).
Coordinate external and internal audits; implement audit recommendations promptly.
Maintain compliance with CAC, CBN, and other regulatory bodies.
Cost Management:
Monitor cost of sales, parts inventory valuation, and after-sales costs.
Identify cost-saving opportunities across the business.
Team Leadership:
Supervise and develop the finance team across all business units.
Drive a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
ACA / ACCA / CIMA (mandatory).
10 years+ experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance role.
Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or FMCG strongly preferred.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax law and IFRS.
