Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Finance Controller to join our team. The Finance Controller will be responsible for providing strategic financial direction, planning, implementation, management and running of all the finance activities. This includes business planning, budgeting, forecasting and negotiations. As a management team, the Finance Controller will perform effective risk management and plan the organization's financial strategy by actively safeguarding its finances. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of financial management and a proven track record of implementing financial strategies that align with business objectives.

Financial Management & Reporting


Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable regulatory requirements.
Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and consolidation of financial reports.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing actionable insights to management.
Partner closely with the Group Team to provide monthly reporting, with insightful analysis


Budgeting & Forecasting


Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Provide variance analysis and commentary on performance against budget and forecasts.
Support business units with financial planning and cost control initiatives.


Financial Controls & Compliance


Develop and maintain robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.
Coordinate and manage internal and external audits.
Oversee tax planning, filings, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures that align to company's goals and objectives.


Treasury & Cash Flow Management


Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure operational efficiency.
Oversee bank relationships, investments, and financing arrangements.
Optimize the company's capital structure and funding strategies.


Leadership & Team Management


Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team to ensure high performance.
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support strategic and operational goals.
Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president and members of the executive management team.


Qualification:


A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is required.
Minimum of 7 - 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a senior management or controller role.
Strategic Thinker who demonstrates detailed processes to achieve corporate financial objectives.
Finance Strategy development and implementation at C-Level executive.
Experience in financial planning and analysis, cash management and financial reporting.
Experience working in Stock broking firm is a PLUS.
