The Purpose of the Job is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the organisation's financial reporting by delivering compliant statutory reporting and financial statements, maintaining strong governance and control over General Ledger (GL) processes, providing financial insights to optimise working capital, and fostering effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support informed business decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Accurate Reporting:Ensure accurate and timely statutory reporting and financial statement preparation.
Compliance:Achieve compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Effective Governance:Maintain a robust governance and control framework for GL processes.
Optimized Working Capital:Provide insights and recommendations to optimize working capital.
Stakeholder Collaboration:Maintain effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills, Experience & Education
Skills:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in financial accounting systems, including ERP system; strong analytical and reporting skills.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience:
6-8 years of experience in financial management; experience in statutory reporting and financial statement preparation would be advantageous
Experience managing audit, compliance, and statutory reporting processes
Qualifications:
Postgraduate qualification in Finance or Accounting
CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification
