Key Purpose


The Quality Manager is responsible for leading quality assurance, food safety, and compliance at site level, ensuring adherence to Coca-Cola KORE standards and international quality systems. The role drives risk management, continuous improvement, audit readiness, and capability building to consistently deliver safe, high-quality products and protect consumer trust.


Key Duties & Responsibilities
Key Outcomes

Quality Assurance and Compliance Oversight


Lead the implementation and maintenance of the Coca-Cola KORE standards, FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards.
Ensure that all quality and food safety processes are adhered to throughout production.
Oversee the execution and review of quality control testing and lab verification activities.


Laboratory and Analytical Management


Manage the laboratory team and ensure accurate, timely analysis of ingredients, packaging, and finished product.
Validate analytical methods and ensure calibration of laboratory equipment.
Investigate lab non-conformances and lead the development of corrective actions.


Risk Management and Continuous Improvement


Identify quality risks and lead structured root cause analyses to resolve non-conformances.
Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and track their effectiveness.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce product variability and improve consumer satisfaction.


Internal and External Audit Readiness


Prepare and lead internal audits and third-party audits.
Ensure audit findings are addressed within required timelines and that systems remain in a state of readiness.
Maintain all necessary records, certifications, and quality documentation.


People Leadership and Capability Building


Lead, coach, and develop Quality Assurance Technologists and Senior Lab Technologists.
Promote a culture of quality and compliance within the manufacturing site.
Conduct training and awareness on food safety, quality, and GMP for plant personnel.


Quality Performance Monitoring and Reporting


Monitor quality KPIs and trends, analyze deviations, and communicate performance to site leadership.
Present monthly quality performance reviews with data-driven insights.
Ensure escalation protocols for quality incidents and product holds are effectively applied.


Skills, Experience & Education
Education


Minimum: National Diploma in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or equivalent science qualification
Preferred: BTech or BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related discipline
Certification in ISO 22000/FSSC 22000, HACCP (advantageous)


Experience


Minimum 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control in a FMCG or beverage manufacturing environment
Experience in leading internal or third-party audits (e.g., FSSC, ISO)
Track record of quality system implementation and compliance management


Skills


In-depth knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP principles
Strong command of analytical laboratory techniques, methods, and equipment
Relevant ERP system experience
Ability to conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA
Data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, etc.)
Proficient in interpreting SHEQ-related legal and corporate requirements
Excellent planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
People management and leadership capability
