Qualifications and experience required:
A valid Code EB driver's licence.
A Grade Twelve or higher certificate.
Firefighter 1 course.
Hazmat awareness.
First Aid Level 3.
Must be physically and mentally fit.
Will be required to pass the medical test NFPA 1582.
Must have no criminal record.
Must have one-year operational experience.
Job purpose:
Rendering emergency and humanitarian services to the community for the saving/protection of life and property.
As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.
