Purpose
To provide mechanical maintenance support for pasta production equipment, ensuring optimum machine performance, minimal downtime, and compliance with engineering, safety, and food safety standards.
The Job
Performing routine preventive maintenance on pasta processing equipment, including silos, boilers, chillers, and warehouse machinery.
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical faults to ensure uninterrupted production operations.
Installing, aligning, and replacing mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, belts, chains, couplings, pumps, and gearboxes.
Conducting daily machine inspections to identify wear, abnormal noise, vibration, and other mechanical defects.
Participating in planned shutdowns, equipment overhauls, and major maintenance activities.
Conducting root cause (Why-Why) analysis to resolve recurring equipment failures and improve reliability.
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, machine downtime, and spare parts utilization.
Ensuring strict adherence to FMN safety standards, GMP, food safety requirements, and 5S practices.
Qualifications
5 O' level credits including Mathematics & English in not more than 2 sittings.
Technical certification would be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years' relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
The Person Must:
Possess strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Have a good understanding of mechanical systems, including bearings, shafts, gears, belts, chains, and lubrication systems.
Be able to interpret engineering drawings, machine manuals, and maintenance procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge of GMP, food safety, and maintenance best practices.
