About the role
The purpose of the Fleet Administrator role is to support the effective management and administration of the Company's vehicle fleet by coordinating fleet-related processes, maintaining accurate records and serving as a key point of contact for fleet queries.
The role is responsible for the administration of vehicle leases, pool vehicles, vehicle disposals, reporting and fleet systems, ensuring that fleet operations are conducted efficiently, compliantly and in alignment with business requirements.
The role contributes to the smooth running of fleet services across the organisation through proactive stakeholder engagement and administrative support.
What you'll do
Communication Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for internal communication related to fleet, including:
Handling inquiries regarding vehicle orders
Fuel card declines
Maintenance updates
Pool Vehicle Management: Manage and issuing pool vehicles by ensuring availability and proper utilization.
Disposal of Vehicles: Oversee the disposal process of Shoprite-owned vehicles, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Vehicle Lease Management: Manage vehicle lease agreements, including renewals, terminations, and related documentation.
Reporting: Report monthly to divisions on fleet-related matters
Providing accurate and timely information.
Project Assistance: Assist with fleet-related projects, including:
New system setups
Training on these systems
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Fleet Admin Manager and other team members as needed.
What you bring
Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Essential)
Minimum of 2 years in an administrative role.(Essential)
Experience in a Car rental environment (Essential)
Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excell and PowerPoint. (Essential)
Detail orientated.(Essential)
Strong administrative skills.
