Role Overview


Client is seeking a meticulous Fund/Management Accountant to take ownership of the valuation, reporting, and financial control of our investment portfolios.
You will ensure that all funds under management remain compliant with SEC Nigeria Rules and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), while providing the analytical support necessary for executive decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


Fund Accounting: Compute daily/periodic NAV for mutual funds and discretionary portfolios; reconcile cash and positions with custodians and brokers.
Regulatory Compliance: Lead the preparation of statutory returns (AQR, weekly/quarterly reports) and ensure adherence to ISA 2025 and NFIU AML/CFT frameworks.
Treasury: Monitor fund liquidity and oversee the settlement of trades and vendor payments.
Management Reporting: Develop performance dashboards and variance analyses to support budgeting and forecasting.
Risk Management: Implement robust internal controls and identify operational or valuation risks.


Requirements


Education: B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
Certification: ICAN or ACCA (Qualified or in-view).
Experience: 3 - 7 years in Fund Accounting, Investment Banking, or Asset Management.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of SEC Nigeria Rules, IFRS, and financial modeling. Proficiency in Excel and fund accounting software is mandatory; Bloomberg experience is a plus.
Soft Skills: Uncompromising integrity, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage diverse stakeholders (Trustees, Registrars, Auditors).
