Job Description


Implementation and monitoring of GMP systems and food hygiene standards
Internal GMP audits, inspections, and compliance reporting
Hygiene program management (cleaning validation, sanitation, pest control)
Support for certification and regulatory inspections (FSSC, KORE, ISO, etc.)
Document control and compliance with food safety regulations
Incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action follow-through
Training and awareness on GMP and hygiene standards
Stakeholder engagement and audit preparation


Key Duties & Responsibilities
GMP System Implementation & Oversight


Ensure plant-wide adherence to GMP and hygiene requirements across production, storage, and utility areas.
Maintain and update GMP policies, procedures, and visual standards aligned to Coca-Cola KORE and FSSC standards.
Conduct periodic reviews of sanitation SOPs, cleaning schedules, and related records.


Auditing and Compliance Monitoring


Lead regular GMP audits and hygiene inspections; issue findings and track corrective actions to closure.
Identify risks and non-conformances and ensure prompt root cause investigation and resolution.
Support site readiness for third-party, customer, and regulatory audits.


Hygiene and Sanitation Control


Oversee verification of cleaning and sanitation activities (including CIP, deep cleans, and routine cleaning).
Liaise with Production and Maintenance teams to ensure proper execution and documentation of cleaning procedures.
Ensure pest control activities and contractor services are effective and compliant.


Training and Culture Building


Drive awareness and capability building across departments on GMP, hygiene, allergen management, and foreign matter control.
Facilitate induction training and ongoing refreshers for employees and contractors.
Promote a proactive hygiene culture and operational discipline.


Incident and Risk Management


Participate in investigations of foreign matter, contamination, or hygiene-related incidents.
Contribute to structured root cause analysis and implementation of preventive controls.
Escalate critical hygiene and GMP concerns to the QFSE Manager with clear action plans.

Skills, Experience & Education
Education


Minimum: National Diploma in Food Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related field
Preferred: BTech or BSc in Food Science, Microbiology, or Quality Management
Certifications in HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, or GMP auditing are advantageous


Experience


3 - 5 years' experience in food or beverage manufacturing, with specific exposure to GMP and hygiene systems
Experience conducting internal audits and managing non-conformances
Exposure to certification audits (FSSC, KORE, ISO, or regulatory)Familiarity with sanitation processes, allergen control, and pest management


Skills


Strong understanding of GMP, food safety standards, and hygiene practices
Ability to perform GMP audits, inspections, and compliance checks
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation validation protocols
Competence in root cause analysis and CAPA tracking
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to manage and interpret audit data, reports, and trend analyses
Good documentation and report writing skills
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Working knowledge of ERP/QMS systems (e.g., SAP, Intelex) is advantageous
