Job description

The Congenital Heart Disease Foundation of Nigeria (CHDFNigeria) is a patient-focused organisation committed to transforming congenital heart disease (CHD) care in Nigeria. Through advocacy, awareness, family support, education and access to life-saving cardiac care, we work towards a future where every child born with CHD gets the care they need, irrespective of their socioeconomic background. We are seeking an experienced Grants & Partnerships Engagement Manager to lead our fundraising, grants management and strategic partnership initiatives. We need someone who can turn strategy into results: who secures funding, builds lasting partnerships and keeps donors engaged for the long term. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute annual fundraising strategies with measurable quarterly and monthly targets. Identify and secure new grants, sponsorships and donations, while strengthening existing income streams. Develop compelling grant proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and donor presentations. Manage the full grant lifecycle, from application to award, implementation, compliance and reporting. Build and sustain strategic partnerships with donor agencies, corporates, foundations, government institutions and development partners. Organise partnership events, donor appreciation programmes and engagement sessions. Report regularly to Executive Management and the Board, and recommend ways to improve donor retention and partnership growth. Work with programme and Monitoring & Evaluation teams to track grant implementation and impact. Lead and mentor the Grants & Partnerships team, including volunteers. Our ideal candidate: Has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Development, Public Administration, Social Sciences, Marketing, Communications or a related field (a Master's or professional certification is an advantage). Has at least 10 years' professional experience, with a minimum of 5 in fundraising, grants management, business development, donor relations or programme management in the nonprofit or NGO sector. Has a proven record of securing grants from local and international donors. Has strong experience managing donor relationships and strategic partnerships. Writes excellent proposals and presents and tells stories with confidence.
