Job Summary
The Hatchery Manager will oversee all hatchery operations, ensuring efficient incubation, high hatchability, high-quality chicks, biosecurity compliance, effective manpower supervision, and achievement of operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily hatchery operations and production schedules.
Ensure optimal hatchability and chick quality standards.
Supervise hatchery staff and monitor performance.
Ensure strict compliance with biosecurity and operational procedures.
Monitor incubation systems, hatchery equipment, and maintenance activities.
Analyse hatchery performance data and prepare management reports.
Manage chick vaccination, processing, and dispatch operations.
Drive operational efficiency, cost control, and waste reduction.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
B.Sc / HND in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hatchery management experience in a reputable poultry organisation.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Sound knowledge of hatchery operations, incubation systems, and biosecurity practices.
Good analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools.
