Our client based in Randburg is looking for a Hazchem Code 10 Truck Driver, to operate medium-heavy vehicles (Code 10 license) and transport hazardous chemicals/materials safely in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Code 10 vehicle for delivery and collection of hazardous materials
Transport chemicals in accordance with Hazchem and safety regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure correct loading, securing, and offloading of hazardous goods
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks
Follow designated routes and delivery schedules
Handle emergency situations (spills, accidents) according to Hazchem procedures
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Report vehicle faults, incidents, or delays promptly
Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
Minimum Requirements:
Valid Code 10 driver's license (C1)
Valid DGP (Dangerous Goods Permit)
Hazchem certification (dangerous goods handling)
Minimum 2 - 3 years driving experience, preferably with hazardous materials
Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations
Ability to read and understand safety documentation (e.g., MSDS)
