Responsibilities
Support in the development, review, and communication of the boarding schedule, rules, and requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Ensuring all boarding staff understand and consistently implement the established boarding routines and expectations.
Coordinate the implementation of the boarding calendar and related events in collaboration with other departments, ensuring activities run within set timelines.
Oversee and support staff in maintaining pupil discipline and adherence to the daily boarding and school schedules.
Manage time-related routines such as wake-up, lights-out, and bedtime, based on school guidelines and age-appropriate practices.
Supervise personal grooming, ensuring all boarders are clean, well-dressed, and ready for daily school, church, or co-curricular engagements.
Monitor and maintain high cleanliness standards within the dormitories, including bed arrangement and regular airing of bedding.
Identify children with specific needs such as bed-wetting, and help develop a discreet and supportive management plan with relevant staff.
Keep accurate records of boarding attendance and follow up on any absenteeism, working closely with the admissions office, head teacher, and accounts office.
Liaise with the kitchen team to ensure all boarders receive appropriate meals, especially those with special dietary needs, in line with school policy.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Teaching.
TSC Registration.
Counselling Qualification.
3 years of relevant experience.
Valid certificate of good conduct.
