Job Description
He will be responsible for overseeing the Company's Financial Accounts and leading the Account/Finance Department. Manages Accounts, Finance/Treasury, and Credit Control.
Key Responsibilities
Cash flow management
Regulatory compliance
Budgeting and forecasting
Preparing financial reports
Assist in company-wide budgetary planning
Analyze markets
Developing and implementing internal control procedures
Identifying cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
Producing long-term business plans
Providing strategic investment advice to management * Compiling, analyzing, and preparing financial information
Coordinating annual accounting closures
Managing accounting practices across the organization
Managing potential financial disputes
Prepare and present reports to management
Risk management
Supervise and mentor finance department staff
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS or local GAAP)
Tax and regulatory compliance knowledge
Financial modelling and analysis
ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.)
Risk management and internal control systems
Leadership & Strategic Skills:
Team leadership and people management
Strategic planning and business partnering
Decision-making and problem-solving ability
Strong communication and stakeholder management

Experience working with auditors and regulators

Educational Qualification
HND / B.Sc is compulsory. Having one or two certificates in these relevant fields is important: Accounting, Finance, Economics with 3 - 5+ years in senior management
MBA (Master of Business Administration) — finance or general management focus
MSc/Master's in Finance / Accounting / Economics
ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) — Chartered Accountant
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants)
CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst)
