The Head of Marketing and Communications will lead the College's brand, marketing, and communications strategy, with a strong emphasis on digital.
The primary objective of the role is to grow admissions: increasing quality enquiries, applications, and enrolments, and strengthening the College's reputation among prospective families in Nigeria and the diaspora.
This is a hands-on role. The successful candidate will both set the strategy and execute it, working closely with the principal, the admissions team, and academic staff.

Develop and own the annual marketing plan and budget, aligned to admissions targets
Maintain a consistent brand identity and tone of voice across all channels and materials
Track competitor positioning among Nigerian and international schools
Digital Marketing:
Own the College website: content, SEO, user experience, and enquiry conversion
Plan and run paid digital campaigns (Meta, Google) targeting prospective parents in Nigeria and the diaspora
Manage the College's social media presence (Instagram, YouTube, X, Facebook), including a content calendar
Build and manage email marketing to prospective and current parents
Report monthly on performance using analytics (enquiries, cost per lead, conversion), and adjust spend accordingly
Admissions Marketing:
Partner with the admissions team to nurture enquiries from first contact through to enrolment
Plan and promote open days, entrance examinations, and recruitment events
Produce admissions materials: prospectus, video tours, testimonials
Content and Communications:
Produce or commission photography, video, and written content that showcases student life, academic results, and boarding
Manage the school newsletter and parent-facing communications
Support the Principal with internal and external communications, including sensitive or reputational matters
Safeguarding
Ensure all content involving students complies with the College's Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy, including image consent
Complete safeguarding training and uphold safer recruitment standards
Requirements
5+ years' marketing experience with at least 2 years in a digital-led role
Demonstrable, hands-on experience running paid social and search campaigns with measurable results
Strong content skills: writing, and directing photography and video
Proficiency with analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager) and CMS platforms
Excellent written English and a sharp eye for brand consistency
Willingness to spend regular time on campus in Abeokuta, including overnight stays where needed for events
Experience marketing schools, education, or another premium consumer service
Understanding of the Nigerian private education market and diaspora parent audience
Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or a small team
Basic design skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe suite).
