Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Portfolio Management to oversee the organization's portfolio of investments, projects, or client accounts (as applicable).
The role is responsible for driving portfolio performance, optimizing returns, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, and managing risk across all portfolio activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of portfolio management strategies aligned with corporate objectives
Oversee the performance of all active portfolios and ensure optimal returns and value creation
Conduct regular portfolio reviews, analysis, and reporting to senior management
Identify underperforming assets/projects and recommend corrective actions
Manage risk exposure across the portfolio and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards
Collaborate with business units to ensure effective allocation of resources
Drive investment decisions and prioritization frameworks based on data and strategic fit
Lead, mentor, and develop the portfolio management team
Engage with stakeholders, partners, and external advisors where necessary
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree or MBA is an advantage)
8 - 12 years' relevant experience in portfolio management, investment management, project portfolio oversight, or related field
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and risk management skills
Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex portfolios
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIPM, PMP) is an added advantage
