We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe workplace culture, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing effective HSE policies and procedures across the organization.
Location: Ilaro, Ogun State.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive actions.
Organize and deliver HSE training, awareness programs, and toolbox talks for employees.
Monitor waste management, environmental practices, and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors when required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in an HSE role.
Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication, reporting, and training delivery skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
