Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer

We are seeking a qualified, competent, and highly motivated Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team at a leading company in Nigeria's downstream oil and gas sector. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences. Relevant HSE qualifications from a recognized institution. NEBOSH or IOSH certification will be an added advantage. Membership of a recognized professional body in HSE or a related discipline will also be an advantage. AGE REQUIREMENT Applicants must not be above 40 years of age at the time of application. KEY REQUIREMENTS A minimum of Three (3) years of relevant HSE experience in the oil and gas sector. Sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment management systems and applicable safety standards. Practical experience in conducting risk assessments, workplace safety inspections, and hazard identification. Ability to organize and deliver HSE training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety awareness programmes. Good knowledge of firefighting systems, fire prevention, and emergency response procedures. Ability to implement HSE policies, monitor compliance, and promote a strong safety culture. Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and reporting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
