SUMMARY

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel rooms. He supervises all housekeeping employees; thus has the authority to discharge, plan, assign, and train all employees assigned to his Department. He audits his staff, inspects all assigned duties, prepares the budget, and controls the housekeeping budget for effective service delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Organises, supervises and coordinates the daily work of all housekeeping staff.
Inspects all Public Areas, Housekeeping stores and Guest rooms.
Ensures proper dissipation of information via daily briefing with his staff
Recruits new employees and trains them for effective service delivery.
Establishes and maintains SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for cleaning and developing new procedures to increase the efficiency of staff and product use.
Counsels and motivates Housekeepers on various duty demands.
Sourcing and testing new techniques and products to enhance the quality of Housekeeping service delivery.
Maintains regular inventory and checking of furniture, linen, uniform, and equipment in the hotel.
Evaluates the department staff performance and transfer purposes.
Approves regular supply of requisitions, maintains minimum stock and cost control mechanism for all materials.
Oversees the preparation of Duty Rosters with his Assistants and approves same for effective monitoring of all Housekeeping staff.
Approves annual vacation of all Housekeeping staff.
Checks all reports, files, and registers for proper maintenance of the Department staff.
Provides budget and sustains proper control of the Department budgets.
