HR Administrative Assistant

Job Description A well-established organisation is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Administrative Assistant to join its HR/Payroll Department. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support across a range of HR functions, ensuring employee records are accurately maintained, HR processes are efficiently coordinated and documentation remains up to date and compliant. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain and update employee records, personnel files and HR databases. Assist with recruitment administration, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates. Prepare offer letters, employment contracts and onboarding documentation. Capture and update employee information on HR and payroll systems. Assist with leave administration and employee benefit documentation. Provide administrative support for performance management, training and employee wellness initiatives. Prepare HR reports and maintain confidential employee records. Respond to employee queries relating to HR policies and procedures. Assist with HR compliance, audits and general HR administration. REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 / Matric. 1 - 3 years' experience in an HR administrative role. Experience working with HRIS and payroll systems will be advantageous. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
