Job Summary
The HR Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department, ensuring efficient HR processes across recruitment, employee records, attendance, payroll support, and compliance. This role supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment and contributes to smooth workforce operations at Goonite Hygiene Product.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
Conduct initial phone screens to create shortlists of qualified candidates
Interview candidates in person for a wide range of roles
Provide clerical and administrative support
Compile and update employee records/database
Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations etc)
Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys etc) and take minutes
Dealing with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, bonus, leaves, etc)
Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
Qualifications & Experience
HND/BSc in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field
1 - 2 years HR or administrative experience (manufacturing experience is an advantage)
Basic knowledge of Nigerian labor laws
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under minimal supervision
Candidates must be residents of Ibeju-Lekki or its immediate surroundings.
