The Human Resource Officer will support the hospital's HR operations by coordinating recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing
Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
Maintain an updated database of all hospital staff.
Support workforce planning with department heads.
Employee Relations & Welfare
Handle staff inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
Promote a positive work culture and support employee welfare programs.
Manage contracts, staff files, and HR documentation.
Performance Management
Support implementation of the hospital's performance appraisal system.
Track performance improvement plans and follow up with supervisors.
Ensure consistent application of performance policies.
Training & Development
Identify staff training needs and coordinate internal/external trainings.
Maintain training records and track impact on performance.
HR Policies & Compliance
Ensure compliance with employment laws and hospital policies.
Assist in updating and communicating HR policies.
Prepare HR reports and HR analytics for management.
Payroll Support
Support payroll by providing accurate employee information (attendance, leave, changes).
Manage leave records and ensure compliance with leave policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management—mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in HR or related field—added advantage.
2 - 5 years HR experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Membership with IHRM and valid practicing license is an advantage.
Good understanding of HR policies and labour laws.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under pressure.
