Assist in researching and producing accurate, balanced and engaging news stories.
Write scripts under editorial supervision.
Assist with fact-checking and verifying information before broadcast.
Help prepare broadcast inserts and supporting multimedia content.
Assist with uploading content to relevant digital and multimedia platforms.
Stay informed about current local, national and international news developments.
Technical Support
Learn and use newsroom systems such as Dalet.
Assist with selecting archive footage and relevant visuals.
Support the editing of headlines, soundbites, overlays and broadcast elements.
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Work closely with newsroom teams, technical staff and graphics designers to ensure smooth production.
Coordinate with digital and social media teams to align broadcast content with online distribution.
Maintain relationships with sources, experts and analysts for on-air insights and interviews.
Requirements
Qualifications
National Senior Certificate is essential
National Diploma in Journalism and/or Media Studies is essential
