An Inventory Accountant is responsible for monitoring, recording, and reconciling inventory transactions to ensure the accuracy of stock records and inventory valuation. The role involves tracking inventory movement, conducting stock reconciliations, identifying discrepancies, supporting stock audits, and providing accurate inventory reports to aid management decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain accurate inventory records and valuations
Perform inventory reconciliations and analyze variances
Monitor inventory movements, adjustments, and write-offs
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams on stock management
Prepare inventory-related journal entries and reports
Support audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Job Requirements
Chartered Accountant (CA) - required
Proximity to Location is key
Minimum 1 year of experience in inventory or cost accounting
Knowledge of inventory valuation methods
Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
