The Inventory Management Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that material resources are readily available to staff. This includes efficiently storing, tracking, and issuing items as required to support operational needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities


Receive and issue store items with proper documentation and approvals.
Maintain a comprehensive catalogue of goods, including descriptions and storage locations, to enable efficient retrieval.
Monitor inventory demand and ensure adequate stock levels are always maintained.
Conduct regular stock counts, identify shortages, and prepare periodic activity and performance reports for management.
Keep accurate records of all inventory activities, transactions, and reports.
Inspect all goods received, stored, and dispatched to prevent discrepancies, and develop strategies to strengthen inspection processes.
Identify and report damaged stock in line with established policies.
Obtain necessary sign-offs on delivery documents from suppliers or delivery personnel.
Allocate appropriate storage space and prepare conditions for the smooth receipt of stock based on its nature.
Provide timely updates and reports to management as required.
File and secure documents related to requisition, procurement, and inventory activities.
Verify goods against purchase order specifications through testing and comparison.
Ensure safe custody of all materials in the store.
Notify the Store Manager of out-of-stock items or materials below minimum stock levels.
Coordinate with custody, risk management, and codification teams to ensure compliance with store policies.
Implement and enforce data protection policies and practices of Egbin Power Plc.
Ensure compliance with the NDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
Undertake Data Protection Impact Assessment as applicable to curb the risk during data processing operations
Ensure awareness, understanding and application of QHSE policy and application of departmental objectives
Ensure awareness of the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 &45001:2018) and implications of not conforming with the requirements.
Understand and identify hazards, risks, environmental aspect and Impact as it is related to their jobs.


Education and Work Experience


Bachelor's degree in engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline.
A postgraduate degree and/or relevant professional certification in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or a related field will be an added advantage.
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant professional experience in stores, inventory, warehouse, procurement, or supply chain management.


Skills and Competencies


Proficiency in inventory valuation methods, management tools, concepts, and techniques.
Solid understanding of public procurement laws and regulations.
Strong analytical abilities with excellent numerical skills.
Expertise in data analysis and forecasting techniques.
Familiarity with material handling and packaging processes.
Knowledge of inspection plans, procedures, and techniques.
Understanding of purchase order and contract terms and conditions.
Awareness of insurance and claims procedures related to inventory.
Experience with material accounting systems.
Knowledge of vigilance policies and procedures for scrap management.
