We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Irrigation & Water Resources Engineer to support the planning, design, development, and management of irrigation projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, practical field experience, and a solid understanding of donor-funded irrigation programs.

Key Responsibilities


Lead the planning, design, and implementation of irrigation systems and water management projects.
Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations for irrigation development.
Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
Oversee construction, installation, and commissioning of irrigation infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with national engineering standards and donor project requirements.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical reports for stakeholders and donors.
Provide technical support to project teams, farmers, and community groups.
Monitor and evaluate irrigation project performance and recommend improvements.
Ensure proper water resource utilization, conservation, and sustainability measures.


Qualifications & Experience


Master's degree in Water Resources Management, Irrigation Engineering, or Agricultural Water Management from a recognized university.
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation & Development Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or Agronomy from a recognized university.
Registration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) or Kenya Institute of Agricultural Engineers (KIAE).
Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in irrigation planning, design, development, or management.
Proven experience working on donor-funded irrigation programs.
