Duties and responsibilities
Support senior IT staff with installation, configuration and maintenance of computers and operating systems
Assist in resolving basic problems such as printing, software access and network connectivity.
Help set up and dismantle IT equipment for classes and practical sessions, ensuring labs are operational.
Assist in re-imaging lab machines and deploying software updates under supervision.
Maintain lab readiness through cable management, tidiness, and checks on peripheral equipment.
Work with the Lab Technician to carry out inventory checks and update the asset register accurately.
Use the helpdesk ticketing system, document issues, assist in preparing user guides, and participate in departmental meetings and training.
Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.
qualification and experience
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology from a recognised/accredited university, having graduated within the last year.
Being registered for or having completed the Certified Human Resource Professional
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Hands-on individual, with personal drive and the ability to respond to issues efficiently
Good IT skills
