Duties and responsibilities
Provide first-line assistance and resolve common hardware, software, and connectivity issues in teaching laboratories.
Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, operating systems, and standard laboratory software.
Perform routine checks, cleaning, cable management and basic maintenance to minimise downtime and service interruptions.
Prepare and organise laboratory spaces for classes, ensure safety and orderliness, and support the setup of standard AV equipment.
Support login and access issues for students and staff, ensuring smooth authentication and usage of lab systems.
Maintain accurate records of IT assets, consumables, service requests and issue resolutions through the asset management and service desk systems.
Follow security protocols, assist with software licence audits, and ensure compliance with standards for installations and system access.

qualification and experience
A Diploma in Computer Science/Information Technology or a closely related discipline, from a recognised/ accredited Institution.
A minimum of two (2) years experience.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Demonstrated experience in report writing and record keeping.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
