Job Summary:
Stella Maris Schools is seeking a competent and proactive IT Officer to manage and support the school's technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of IT systems, provide technical support to staff, and contribute to the development of digital learning and administrative systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the school's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and devices
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students
Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems
Ensure data security, backup, and recovery processes are in place
Support digital learning tools and school management software
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
Assist in IT policy development and implementation
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and oversee procurement when necessary
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
Proven experience in IT support or administration (preferably in an educational setting)
Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, and software systems
Familiarity with school management systems is an advantage
Good problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
