Key Responsibilities
Helpdesk and User Support
Provide first-level technical support to staff and students.
Respond to and resolve IT-related incidents and service requests.
Hardware Support
Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and other ICT equipment.
Perform routine maintenance and diagnostics on IT equipment.
Software and Systems Support
Install and configure approved software applications.
Assist users with Microsoft Office and other school applications.
Network Support
Perform basic network troubleshooting for wired and wireless connectivity issues.
Classroom and Educational Technology Support
Support classroom ICT equipment including projectors, interactive displays, and audiovisual devices.
Assist teachers with the setup and operation of educational technologies.
Security and Compliance
Adhere to established IT security policies and procedures.
Support antivirus, backup, and cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting
Maintain accurate records of ICT assets, support activities, and equipment status.
Prepare periodic reports on support requests, recurring issues, and equipment needs.
Requirements
Grade 12
Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) will be an added advantage.
At least 2 - 3 years' experience in an IT support or helpdesk environment.
Experience supporting end users in a school or educational environment will be an added advantage.
