We are seeking a Junior Product Designer to join our Product Development team.
In this role, you will support product discovery, user research, and design execution across healthcare systems and workflows. You will help translate user needs into clear user journeys, flows, and prototypes, and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality products.
This role is ideal for someone early in their design career who enjoys solving complex problems, thinking in systems, and designing with users, constraints, and real-world environments in mind.
Responsibilities
User Research & Discovery
Assist in gathering user requirements through stakeholder collaboration and research activities
Participate in brainstorming and design discussions to explore and improve product features
Support market and competitive research to inform product decisions
User Journeys & Prototyping
Create user journeys and flows that clearly represent user goals, system states, decision points, edge cases, and fallbacks
Wireframe and design high-quality prototypes using modern design tools
Iterate on designs based on feedback from users and internal teams
Validation & Quality
Support developer handoff, user testing and validation activities
Assist in ensuring design quality and alignment with product and organizational goals
Contribute to design QA during development and release cycles
Documentation & Templates
Document design decisions, assumptions, and trade-offs
Help develop and maintain reusable templates and design assets
Ensure documentation supports product, engineering, and QA teams
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the product lifecycle
Participate in Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, grooming, and reviews
Communicate progress, blockers, and dependencies clearly
Demonstrate ownership, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow
Tools & Workflow
You will work with:
Figma, Canva and Adobe Creative Suite for design and prototyping
Jira and Confluence for task tracking and sprint planning
GitLab for collaboration with engineering teams
Agile/Scrum workflows
You do not need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable working within a software development environment.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field
Relevant certifications (UX & UI Design, Product Design, Design Thinking, Product Management) are a plus
Experience
Experience as a design intern, assistant designer, or junior designer
A portfolio demonstrating product design, UX/UI work, or relevant coursework
Exposure to user research and requirements gathering
Experience collaborating with developers is an advantage
Familiarity with Agile teams and tools such as Jira is an advantage
