Junior Sales Engineer, Woodmead, Gauteng at Sheldon Recruitment

We are seeking a Junior Sales Engineer for a permanent vacancy based in Woodmead, Gauteng


Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:


Engineering qualification, preferably in Chemical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 2 years' sales/business development experience, ideally in the water/wastewater industry
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment systems, chemicals, consumables, and spares
Established network within industrial, consultant, and supplier markets
Proficiency in MS Office; Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong business development and sales skills
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities
Commercial understanding of pricing, contracts, and margins
Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies
Focus on growing both new and existing customer accounts.


The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:


Monitor client portals for RFQs and tender opportunities.
Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tenders.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Identify and secure new business opportunities through client visits, networking, and cold calling.
Manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to contract award.
Track and report on sales activities and pipeline performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies and SHEQ requirements.
