Job Summary
The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing sound legal advice, managing property documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and protecting the company's legal interests in all transactions and corporate activities.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and vet land sale agreements, contracts, MOUs, and other legal documents.
Conduct due diligence on property titles and land documentation.
Manage property perfection processes including Governor's Consent, Deed of Assignment, and related documentation.
Provide legal guidance on real estate transactions and dispute resolution matters.
Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and external solicitors.
Handle litigation matters and represent the company where necessary.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian property and corporate laws.
Provide internal legal advisory support to management and departments.
Requirements
LL.B and B.L Degree (Must be called to the Nigerian Bar) with 3 - 5 years post-call experience, preferably in real estate or corporate law.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian property law and land documentation processes.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Must reside within or around Ajah / Sangotedo / Lekki axis.
