Job Summary
The Legal Officer will provide legal and regulatory support to the Company, manage legal risks, review contracts, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and support corporate governance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Provide legal advice and opinions on corporate and commercial matters.
Support regulatory compliance and liaise with regulatory authorities where required.
Assist with litigation management and engagement with external counsel.
Conduct legal research and monitor legal and regulatory developments.
Support corporate governance and company secretarial activities.
Review internal policies and procedures for legal compliance.
Maintain statutory registers and corporate records.
Prepare legal reports, briefs, and other documentation as required.
Education & Experience
LL.B and BL qualifications.
3 - 7 years post-call experience.
Prior in-house or corporate legal experience preferred.
Demonstrable experience in contract drafting and review.
Knowledge of Nigerian corporate and commercial laws.
