Legal Officer (Lawyer)

Skylight Towers Homes and Properties Ltd is inviting applications from qualified, dedicated, and result-oriented legal practitioners for the position of Full-Time Legal Officer at our company in Ibadan, Oyo State. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and manage land sale agreements, deeds of assignment, leases, and other property-related legal documents. Conduct legal due diligence and verify land ownership, title documents, and property transactions. Advise management on legal risks, regulatory compliance, and real estate matters. Handle property disputes, contractual issues, and client-related legal matters. Liaise with government agencies, land registries, surveyors, and other relevant professionals. Ensure the company's property transactions comply with applicable Nigerian laws. Maintain proper records of contracts, legal documents, and ongoing cases. Represent the company in legal proceedings where authorised. Qualifications and Requirements Must be a qualified legal practitioner called to the Nigerian Bar. A degree in Law (LL.B) and current professional eligibility to practise in Nigeria. Previous experience in real estate, property law, conveyancing, or commercial law is an advantage. Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Strong integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with management and other departments.
