RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machines (lathe, milling, grinding, drilling, etc.) to produce components according to engineering drawings.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters for each job.
Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.
Inspect finished products using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
Adjust machine settings as required to maintain tolerances and address production issues.
Maintain accurate production records, including job sheets, measurements, and material usage.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to optimize processes and improve machining efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work area.
REQUIREMENTS
Certificate, Diploma, or Trade Test in Machining, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience operating manual or CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of machining processes, materials, and cutting tools.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.).
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
