Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Machine Technician to join our manufacturing team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement timely repairs.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely.
Support machine installation, commissioning, and equipment upgrades.
Monitor machine performance and recommend improvements to enhance productivity.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare daily maintenance reports.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure proper housekeeping and adherence to workplace health and safety policies.
Requirements
OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
2 - 3 years' experience as a Machine Technician in the FMCG manufacturing sector is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.
Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and on rotational shifts where required.
