Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Lead to take full ownership of plant equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and technical team supervision.
The ideal candidate is structured, safety-focused, and capable of driving maintenance systems that reduce downtime and support stable production.
This role is critical to production continuity and requires both strong technical competence and leadership maturity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all mechanical and electrical maintenance activities across the plant
Develop and enforce preventive and planned maintenance schedules
Ensure maximum uptime of: Extrusion presses,Melting furnaces, Compressors, cooling systems, and auxiliary equipment
Diagnose and resolve breakdowns promptly with root-cause analysis
Manage maintenance technicians and assign daily tasks effectively
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
Enforce safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and proper PPE use
Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of equipment
Work closely with Production and Operations teams to align priorities
Identify spare parts requirements and support inventory planning
Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and reliability.
Requirements
HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Proven experience leading or supervising maintenance teams
Strong knowledge of:
Mechanical systems
Electrical panels and controls
Motors, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics
Experience in extrusion, foundry, FMCG, steel, or heavy manufacturing is an advantage
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
High level of discipline, accountability, and professionalism.
