Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance function of our Early Production Facility (EPF) operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment availability, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of the facility.
The role requires strong technical knowledge of rotating and static equipment, utilities, instrumentation support coordination, maintenance planning, shutdown execution, and compliance with HSE and industry standards within an oil and gas production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for all EPF equipment and utilities.
Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities on mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment to ensure minimum downtime.
Oversee maintenance of pumps, compressors, generators, tanks, piping systems, valves, loading systems, and utility equipment.
Coordinate maintenance support for production operations to ensure continuous plant availability and operational reliability.
Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts planning, inventory control, and vendor/service contractor performance.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for equipment failures and recurring maintenance issues.
Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with company HSE policies, statutory regulations, and OEM requirements.
Establish and maintain maintenance KPIs such as equipment uptime, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance cost, and schedule compliance.
Prepare and manage annual maintenance plans, shutdown schedules, and turnaround maintenance activities.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance records, work orders, equipment history, and technical reports.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and cost control.
Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance technicians and contractors to achieve high performance and technical competence.
Liaise with production, HSE, procurement, and engineering teams to support smooth plant operations.
Monitor critical spare parts and recommend procurement of materials and services required for uninterrupted maintenance support.
Support audits, inspections, equipment certification, and compliance requirements relating to plant maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' relevant maintenance experience, with at least 3 - 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role within an EPF, oil & gas production facility, or similar industry
Strong working knowledge of maintenance systems for rotating and static equipment in oil and gas operations.
Experience in maintenance planning, shutdown/turnaround coordination, and contractor management.
Knowledge of CMMS or maintenance management systems will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of HSE standards, permit-to-work systems, and maintenance risk controls in hydrocarbon facilities.
COREN membership or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
