Responsibilities
Managing the Fund's portfolio of securities to ensure profitability and compliance with the Fund's risk management policy;
Monitoring the external Fund Managers in the implementation and compliance with the Fund's Investment Policy;
Coordinating the presentation by the Fund Managers Management;
Review goals and strategies with Fund Managers, Investment Advisors and Custodians;
Performing or evaluating research, such as detailed company or industry analyses, to inform financial forecasting, and decision-making on investment opportunities;
Undertaking actuarial valuations;
Adhering to statutory and regulatory requirements; and
Undertaking Portfolio construction; Asset allocation, identification and analysis of new opportunities.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized institution;
Master's Degree in Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related fields from a recognized institution;
Knowledge Requirements
Served for a cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years, three (3) of which must be at the grade of Assistant Manager, Investment Officer, PSSF 4 or in comparable position
Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Must be CIFA or CFA finalist or equivalent
Membership to CIFA, CFA or equivalent professional body in good standing;
Practicing license where applicable
Proficiency in computer applications
Fulfilled requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Experience Qualifications
