We are seeking a highly experienced Marine Advisor I to support the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of marine terminals handling gas carriers and condensate tankers.
This role is responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing marine contractors, ensuring operational integrity, and driving continuous improvement in marine terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Support the safe and efficient turnaround of gas carriers and condensate tankers.
Oversee tug operations, port services, and marine terminal contractors.
Conduct vessel inspections and Marine Quality Assurance (MQA) assessments.
Coordinate Loading Master activities, personnel transfers, PTW, and terminal operations.
Develop, review, and improve marine procedures, manuals, and technical documentation.
Implement industry best practices, including MTMSA, MTOCT, and Operations Integrity (OI 8-1) requirements.
Lead contractor interface management, SSHE compliance, contractor assessments, Interface Management Plans (IMP), and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance to enhance marine safety, operational efficiency, and project execution.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Valid Master Mariner License (Mandatory)
Proven experience as a Senior Marine Officer
Extensive experience in tanker and marine terminal operations
Strong knowledge of large tanker mooring operations and marine coordination
Experience with contractor management and SSHE programs
Excellent technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
Experience working with a major oil & gas operating company
Experience implementing MTMSA and MTOCT programs.
