Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment and utilities within the manufacturing facility.
The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on industrial mechanical equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on hydraulic and utility systems.
Ensure smooth operation of utility equipment including compressors and chillers.
Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Conduct routine inspections, condition monitoring, and equipment performance checks.
Plan and execute repairs, overhauls, and replacement of mechanical components.
Support execution of mechanical projects and plant improvement initiatives.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis related to mechanical operations.
Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and plant compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and equipment history.
Prepare clear reports on equipment performance, failures, and downtime.
Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)
B.Eng or HND in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
Strong experience in mechanical maintenance, hydraulics, and utilities.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve plant mechanical issues.
Experience working with maintenance schedules and condition monitoring.
Added Advantage:
Experience working with textile machines or FMCG manufacturing plants.
Exposure to compressors, chillers, and utility systems.
Knowledge of safety systems and industrial best practices.
