Role Overview


The Communications Intern will provide operational support to the Communications Unit, focusing on video production, editing, and visual content development amongst others. This role is suited for a highly creative, detail-oriented individual with foundational knowledge of communications and strong technical skills in content production tools.
The ideal candidate is proactive, takes ownership, and can independently execute assigned tasks to reduce team workload while maintaining high-quality standards. This is a competitive internship; only candidates with demonstrable communication skills and a portfolio will be considered.


Key Responsibilities

Video Production & Editing


Assist with editing short videos and reels for campaigns and events
Help organize and archive video and multimedia files
Support the team with basic script structuring and content preparation
Ensure video outputs follow ACE's brand and visual guidelines


Graphics & Visual Design


Design social media graphics, banners, posters, and other digital materials
Help create simple infographics to communicate public health information clearly
Assist in developing branded templates for newsletters, presentations, and reports
Support the team with visual materials for campaigns and events
Keep design files organized and labelled for easy team access


Writing and Content Support


Assist with drafting newsletters, blog posts, event summaries, and internal communication briefs
Support report formatting and light editorial review of communication materials
Conduct basic research to support data-driven storytelling


Internal Communications Support


Assist in preparing internal updates, highlight briefs, and presentation decks for internal and external engagements
Help draft short written summaries or captions where needed
Document events through concise written and visual summaries


General Support


Provide general administrative and logistical support to the communications team
Assist with any other tasks assigned by the communications team as needed


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelor's degree in communications, Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Marketing, or related field
0 - 2 years of experience in communications, media production, or a related field; a portfolio is required
Demonstrable foundational knowledge of communications and media production
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro
Strong working knowledge of CapCut, Canva, and Photoshop
Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and digital publishing tools
Strong writing and editing skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
