Clinix Healthcare is seeking a qualified, experienced, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our laboratory team at the Igando branch. We are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic services to support excellent patient care.


Responsibilities


Perform a wide range of laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Serology.
Collect, process, and analyze patient samples (blood, urine, body fluids, etc.) with strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment while ensuring proper functioning.
Interpret test results, prepare accurate laboratory reports, and ensure timely delivery to clinicians.
Implement and maintain quality control and quality assurance protocols.
Maintain proper documentation and records of all laboratory activities.
Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and biohazard waste management.
Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.


Requirements & Skills


Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
Strong practical knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and modern equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
Computer literate with proficiency in laboratory information management systems.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and continuous professional development.


Qualifications


Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
Minimum of 2 - 3 years post-NYSC experience in a reputable hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
Experience in a multi-specialty healthcare facility is an added advantage.
