Duties And Responsibilities
Receiving of patients and customer care services in the laboratory
Performing specimen collection and prompt reception of all specimen from clinics, ward and referral facilities.
Performing daily maintenance of all laboratory instruments and equipment.
Performing specimen storage and maintain updated specimen logs.
Performing analysis of specimen.
Preparation of laboratory reagents, media and standards operating procedures
Daily maintenance of laboratory equipment and machines
Monitoring of laboratory commodity suppliers
Reporting, recording, verification, dispatch and maintaining confidentiality of client results
Sourcing and maintaining of hospital blood bank
Ensuring of general cleanliness of laboratory working areas and maintaining a cleaning log.
Ensuring quality assurance and infection prevention control
Carrying out any other duties assigned by the medical director and lab manager
