Job Purpose
Operating imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images, positioning patients, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures, while also maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
Duties And Responsibilities
Prepare, position, and guide patients through imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety.
Operate and manage radiographic equipment (X- ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) using appropriate techniques and settings.
Ensure high-quality diagnostic images and maintain accurate records within EMR and PACS systems.
Monitor patients during procedures, respond to any distress, and ensure adherence to safety and radiation protection protocols.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals for image interpretation and care planning.
Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment,
reporting any issues promptly.
Participate in quality improvement, training, and professional development initiatives.
Support junior staff and uphold professional, ethical standards in patient care.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences Registration by Radiation Protection Boards.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Team player with strong leadership skills.
Possess relevant training and experience.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Computer literate.
