MART Medicare Women & Children Hospital, a member of the MART Group of Health Services, is seeking a skilled Medical Officer to provide high-quality medical services to women, children, and general patients in a professional, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
Perform daily ward rounds and monitor patients' progress, documenting findings accurately.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions where necessary.
Collaborate with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Prescribe medications and order appropriate diagnostic investigations.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in accordance with hospital policies.
Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Participate in on-call duty rosters, clinical meetings, case reviews, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and ethical medical practice.
Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
Valid practicing license issued by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
Minimum of 2 years' post-NYSC clinical experience.
Experience in maternal, pediatric, or family medicine is an added advantage.
Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and patient-centered care.
Proficiency in electronic medical records is an added advantage.
